Personal trainer landing pages and funnels can be hard to find. More so, finding high converting and great looking ones is even harder. They are a key part of your marketing as a Personal Trainer or Coach.

A landing page is whatever page you send visitors to from social media or any other links. Whether these links are on a social profile, in an email, or from a URL on your business card does not matter.

But also, the landing page could be a sales page and the first step in a longer funnel. However, a sales funnel cannot consist of only one page (landing page).

The Most Common Landing Pages

There are two very common forms of landing pages. Know as squeeze pages and bridge pages.

Your typical squeeze page is often part of a 2 funnel where the second page is a simple thank you page. But your squeeze page can also be the first page of any in a longer funnel with multiple offers.

Whereas a bridge page is by nature only one page that links on to an external page.

Bridge Pages For Personal Trainers

Bridge pages bridge the gap and often pre-frames and educates your traffic/visitor. You can use written content but video is a great and engaging alternative.

This will help the visitor get a better experience on the following page. Regardless if the aim is to sell something, or consume content on that following page.

If you want to send a client to an in-depth video about the difference in types of fat you could bridge page them first. On that bridge page, you may want to make sure they have a basic understanding of fats.

Because when your client watches the video, they will understand it’s content better. Another example would be if you want to recommend a product.

You can send your client a bridge page about the specific product and how to use it. Because that way your client arrives at the product page pre-framed and more ‘warm’ to the product.

Hence, more likely to understand why it’s useful and can make a more educated decision. In other words, you bridge the gap for the visitor between their current state and the page you are sending them to.

Bridge Pages, Affiliate Links & More Money In Your Pocket

If you’re not already doing this you should consider starting as soon as possible.

Doing this could add profits to your bottom-line if you use affiliate links on your bridge pages. All the while promoting the products that you already recommend anyway.

But don’t think there is any down-side for you clients, you get commissions at no extra cost for them. It’s a win-win situation.

If you want to get started doing this, we recommend Amazon’s Affiliate Program to start with. Because Amazon has such a vast array of products and pretty much anything is available there.

But also because if you send anyone through your own links you get credited for all purchases. Yes, that’s right. You’ll get credit for anything they buy within 24 hours, not only the item that you linked them to but anything across Amazon.

Squeeze Pages For Personal Trainers

Squeeze pages have one purpose which is to ‘squeeze’ the contact details of your page visitors. The main reason for this is to convert them to email subscribers for your email list.

You do so by offering something of value, called a lead magnet. Your lead magnet could be a free guide, case study, white paper, check-list, or something similar.

But, it’s important that your lead magnet is both relevant and has real value for your audience. Sometimes your squeeze page leads into a sales funnel, but not always.

Often the squeeze page is only followed by a thank you page. But that doesn’t mean that your promotion ends there. Because you then follow-up with email marketing to convert your subscibers to buyers.

Compared to a bridge page where you want to bridge the gap, on a squeeze page, you want to spark curiosity. Without curiosity, you won’t get a high conversion rate on your squeeze page.

You can then funnel your squeeze page traffic into your personal trainer funnel offering your services.

Sparking Squeeze Page Curiosity

Your ability to spark curiosity depends on your copywriting. Copywriting refers to the words, and structure you use when you write your squeeze page text.

In saying that, it doesn’t mean you need to be a top copywriter to be able to spark curiousity. Modell what works from other successful squeeze pages that you’ve opted in to.

But you can also use free script tools such as Funnel Scripts among others. The key is to agitate your audience problems or pain points and tell how your lead magnet can solve it and the benefits it has.

Creating A High Converting Squeeze Page For Personal Trainers

The next step is the design of your squeeze page, which is also very important for conversions.

Your squeeze page needs very few things.

  • 1-5 Sentences of Copy
  • Opt-in field for email
  • Button that submits the page
  • Disclaimer & Privacy Policy
  • Optional: Your logo
  • Optional: Opt-in field for name and or phone. (This can hurt conversions because you’re asking for more information.
  • Optional: Photo/Render of your lead magnet. (Even if’s a digital product, something tangible may help.

Other than that the design should be super simple, and free from any distractions. This means no menus, no links, no pictures, or anything else that may lead the visistor elsewhere.

Because the goal of this page is simple, give the visistor something in return for their email. Then as mentioned before you can on the next page offer something for them to buy. Or thank them for opting in, and give them a download link.
