Personal Trainer Funnels & Landing Pages

Personal Trainer Funnels & Landing Pages

Personal trainer landing pages and funnels can be hard to find. More so, finding high converting and great looking ones is even harder. They are a key part of your marketing as a Personal Trainer or Coach.

You’ll find they help you reach as many people as possible but also increase revenue and profit. Further down in this post you’ll find a few templates, free of charge.

The templates are specific for Personal Trainers which you can see as you check them out. Templates you can edit as needed to any other niche or business to work well there too.

Before we start, you should know that my background is as a Personal Trainer. That is how I picked up my interest in marketing from the start. But since then I’ve moved away from Personal Training to help others improve their marketing and sales.

The Difference Between A Sales Funnel & Landing Page

If you’d like a deeper insight into What A Sales Funnel Is click the link to read an in-depth post about them.

A landing page is whatever page you send visitors to from social media or any other links. Whether these links are on a social profile, in an email, or from a URL on your business card does not matter.

But also, the landing page could be a sales page and the first step in a longer funnel. However, a sales funnel cannot consist of only one page (landing page).

You first personal trainer funnel will likely have four or more pages. You can access our Sharefunnel Library here if you want to check some templates out.

The Most Common Landing Pages

There are two very common forms of landing pages. Know as squeeze pages and bridge pages.

Your typical squeeze page is often part of a 2 funnel where the second page is a simple thank you page. But your squeeze page can also be the first page of any in a longer funnel with multiple offers.

Whereas a bridge page is by nature only one page that links on to an external page.

Bridge Pages For Personal Trainers

Bridge pages bridge the gap and often pre-frames and educates your traffic/visitor. You can use written content but video is a great and engaging alternative.

This will help the visitor get a better experience on the following page. Regardless if the aim is to sell something, or consume content on that following page.

If you want to send a client to an in-depth video about the difference in types of fat you could bridge page them first. On that bridge page, you may want to make sure they have a basic understanding of fats.

Because when your client watches the video, they will understand it’s content better. Another example would be if you want to recommend a product.

You can send your client a bridge page about the specific product and how to use it. Because that way your client arrives at the product page pre-framed and more ‘warm’ to the product.

Hence, more likely to understand why it’s useful and can make a more educated decision. In other words, you bridge the gap for the visitor between their current state and the page you are sending them to.

Bridge Pages, Affiliate Links & More Money In Your Pocket

If you’re not already doing this you should consider starting as soon as possible.

Doing this could add profits to your bottom-line if you use affiliate links on your bridge pages. All the while promoting the products that you already recommend anyway.

But don’t think there is any down-side for you clients, you get commissions at no extra cost for them. It’s a win-win situation.

If you want to get started doing this, we recommend Amazon’s Affiliate Program to start with. Because Amazon has such a vast array of products and pretty much anything is available there.

But also because if you send anyone through your own links you get credited for all purchases. Yes, that’s right. You’ll get credit for anything they buy within 24 hours, not only the item that you linked them to but anything across Amazon.

Squeeze Pages For Personal Trainers

Squeeze pages have one purpose which is to ‘squeeze’ the contact details of your page visitors. The main reason for this is to convert them to email subscribers for your email list.

You do so by offering something of value, called a lead magnet. Your lead magnet could be a free guide, case study, white paper, check-list, or something similar.

But, it’s important that your lead magnet is both relevant and has real value for your audience. Sometimes your squeeze page leads into a sales funnel, but not always.

Often the squeeze page is only followed by a thank you page. But that doesn’t mean that your promotion ends there. Because you then follow-up with email marketing to convert your subscibers to buyers.

Compared to a bridge page where you want to bridge the gap, on a squeeze page, you want to spark curiosity. Without curiosity, you won’t get a high conversion rate on your squeeze page.

You can then funnel your squeeze page traffic into your personal trainer funnel offering your services.

Sparking Squeeze Page Curiosity

Your ability to spark curiosity depends on your copywriting. Copywriting refers to the words, and structure you use when you write your squeeze page text.

In saying that, it doesn’t mean you need to be a top copywriter to be able to spark curiousity. Modell what works from other successful squeeze pages that you’ve opted in to.

But you can also use free script tools such as Funnel Scripts among others. The key is to agitate your audience problems or pain points and tell how your lead magnet can solve it and the benefits it has.

Creating A High Converting Squeeze Page For Personal Trainers

One of the core things to do is get your copywriting short, simple, and sweet. Again, if you’re struggling to create your copywriting check out Funnel Scripts from the link above.

The next step is the design of your squeeze page, which is also very important for conversions.

Your squeeze page needs very few things.

  • 1-5 Sentences of Copy
  • Opt-in field for email
  • Button that submits the page
  • Disclaimer & Privacy Policy
  • Optional: Your logo
  • Optional: Opt-in field for name and or phone. (This can hurt conversions because you’re asking for more information.
  • Optional: Photo/Render of your lead magnet. (Even if’s a digital product, something tangible may help.

Other than that the design should be super simple, and free from any distractions. This means no menus, no links, no pictures, or anything else that may lead the visistor elsewhere.

Because the goal of this page is simple, give the visistor something in return for their email. Then as mentioned before you can on the next page offer something for them to buy. Or thank them for opting in, and give them a download link.

Personal Trainer Funnels

Using a Personal Trainer Funnel can be a gamechanger for your career. Not only to help you get more leads into your pipeline but to increase both revenue and profits too.

So what’s a great Personal Trainer Funnel to start with? The best place to start is with a sales funnel that’s specific to one-on-one sessions.

The one we recommend to start with converts well to get more local leads.

But it can also turn those leads into paying clients before your first session. How great would it be if you can get say, 10% of your leads to buy straight away?

That’s the power of a sales funnel and something that nothing else can compete with. But the best part is that it will not need any maintenance.

This funnel is set up as follows.

  1. Opt-in Page For 2 FREE PT-Sessions
  2. One-Time-Offer To Buy Package Of Sessions + Bonuses
  3. Checkout Page
  4. Order Confirmation Page

The Best Affiliate Programs For Personal Trainers

The Best Affiliate Programs For Personal Trainers

Why should you consider signing up for affiliate programs as a personal trainer? Because it’s an easy way for you to increase your income by earning commissions. More so you can do it by recommending the same products as you always have.

Let’s face it, even if you charge top-dollar for you Personal Training Sessions you’re not going to get ‘rich’. But adding bottom-line revenue through affiliate marketing can be very easy. Furthermore it can have a big impact on your lifestyle and allow you to do more of what you want.

Most Personal Trainers think that setting this up is hard and time-consuming. But even setting up your basic systems for this doesn’t take much time. Further, once you have your basic system built out the rest is a breeze.

Following below you’ll learn the best and easiest affiliate programs you can use.

Top Personal Trainer Affiliate Programs

When considering affiliate programs to sign up for there’s a few things you want to consider.

The main concern should be integrity and honesty. Because you are always representing yourself so stay true to what you believe.

If you find affiliate programs that have high payouts but are not true to what you believe, stay away. Don’t stain your personal brand and company by promoting things you don’t believe in.

So let’s dive into some great affiliate programs that you should use as a Personal Trainer.

The King: Amazon’s Affiliate Program

Amazon’s affiliate program is one of the best, and most used in the world, for good reason. They offer almost any physical product you can imagine. But they also have great conversion rates while still maintaining decent commissions.

You can earn up to 9% commission if you referr your clients to Amazon. But there is an important advantage that Amazon has over most Affiliate Programs.

If you send a visistor to Amazon from your unique URL they are ‘cookied’ for 24 hours. But you’ll actually get credited for any sale within those 24 hours, not only the item you linked them to.

While the commission rates are not amazing, if you put a well-oiled system in place it can work wonders. You can add a few hundred dollars a week only with Amazon with little effort.

The Runner Up: Onnit’s Affiliate Program

Enjoy 15% universal commission across their product range. But also US$10 trial sign-up bounty for their subscription service.

Onnit is an amazing company with great product quality. When I was doing Personal Training I would always recommend them. But I never knew they had an affiliate program and lost out on thousands in commissions. Don’t repeat the same mistake I did and sign up for their affiliate program now.

Further, not only do they have great supplements but also apparel and equipment. Making it possible to refer to them for many different products your clients might need.

3rd But Not Last: Affiliate Networks

Affiliate networks are market places where affiliates (you), find companies with offers. This makes it easy for you to find and apply to promote, many different offers.

This is awesome because you can find any type of product from many companies. But it also gives you back-ups incase one that you promote shuts down their affiliate program.

There’s many affiliate networks out there, but two of the biggest and most trusted ones are:

  1. Share-A-Sale
  2. CJ.com

They both have big and trusted companies on offer inside and are easy to get started with. Sign up now and get ready to start applying for companis to promote with.

Bonus: iHerb’s Referral System

This is actually a great way to offer something of value to your clients too. iHerb is a nutrition giant with an insane product range.

But they also have a referral system that gives them a 5% discount on their whole buy if they use your unique link.

Furthermore, you’ll get a 5% credit to your account as well when they do. Meaning you can get to the point where you are not even paying for your own supplement needs!

You also only need a regular customer account to refer people making the setup easier.

Systimize Your Efforts To Make It Easy

You know have all the main affiliate programs that you need to start earning more as a Personal Trainer. But remember that without action you’re leaving tonnes of commissions out there.
